Chris was born and raised near Dayton, Ohio, a city famous for the Wright Brothers, Erma Bombeck, and secretly harboring alien corpses. He attended Capital University, where he studied chemistry and played football, losing thirty-one games and breaking his hand three times. After his fingers healed, Chris turned to writing humor columns, short fiction, and sketch comedy while raising two daughters and holding down a day job in the chemistry field.

Along with his 2019 Austin Film Festival semi-finalist feature script HECK, Chris also reached the second round in 2019 with his original comedy pilot GYM CITY. Chris also reached the finals in both the WeScreenplay Diverse Voices Screenplay Competition and Nightmares Film Festival Short Screenplay Competition. He has optioned over a dozen short scripts and published several successful horror short stories on Reddit’s NoSleep, including one that is the #6 all-time most upvoted on the site. In September of 2019, Chris optioned his popular NoSleep short story "My family runs an all you can eat restaurant" for adaptation into a feature film.

Chris currently resides just outside of Cincinnati with his four dogs, three cats, and one wife.
