Suffering from anxiety and depression after the recent death of his mother, young college student Jake finds comfort and refuge in his local church. Jake decides to spend his summer in Chicago for an “evangelism internship” and is thrown head first into the church culture he only knew on the surface level: there is intense worship, speaking in tongues, and a focus on evangelism with strangers. As the summer goes on, Jake is faced with growing questions about the priorities of the group and the beliefs of the church.
