Come experience the famous “HartChart” first-hand. James V. Hart (Hook, Contact, Bram Stoker’s Dracula) will explore how to develop characters and stories by getting to the “heart” of the script. Using Jordan Peele’s award-winning Get Out as a case study, join this breakdown of establishing main character desires, charting the progress toward their goals, and creating a successful resolution while keeping the script full of thrills. Using the HartChart’s guidelines for implementing craft, learn how to embrace structure as a friend, rather than an enemy, and how to flesh out ideas for the screen.
