Greg Garrett has been a moderator and panelist at the conference for over twenty years, interviewing luminaries from Lawrence Kasdan to Liz Hannah to Damon Lindelof. He also partners with the Festival on national film programs about race and prejudice and is the Festival’s scholarly liaison, consulting on grant making, the Young Filmmaker’s Program, and the OnStory initiative. Himself the author of four acclaimed novels (a fifth drops in April 2023) and a number of nonfiction books on race, religion, politics, and culture, Greg is an award-winning professor at Baylor University, where his students have successfully written for Hollywood and TV and published short stories and novels.
