As an educator, Serlin is an Associate Professor of Screenwriting at Loyola Marymount University, working with both undergraduate and graduate students. She’s led script development seminars in Mexico (Laboratoria de Escritura de Guiones) and throughout Europe (North by Northwest, Screen Training Ireland, The Binger Institute, Master School Drebuch). For two years she was the Benedek Artist-in-Residence at the University of Michigan.  Having worked with writers from over 20 countries, Serlin is committed to how the craft of screenwriting promotes communication across borders, cultures, and linguistic barriers.
