Kat Candler’s award-winning feature Hellion starring Aaron Paul and Juliette Lewis, played in competition at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival and was released theatrically through IFC Films. Candler was a 2015 Sundance Institute Women’s Initiative Fellow and two-time San Francisco Film Society/Kenneth Rainin Foundation Grant recipient. Candler's work in television includes directing seven episodes of Ava DuVernay and Oprah Winfrey's highly acclaimed Queen Sugar, an episode of 12 Monkeys and two episodes of 13 Reasons Why. She oversaw Season 2 of Queen Sugar as producing director and Season 3 as Showrunner.
