Marianne Wibberley
writer National Treasure, National Treasure: Book of Secrets, Bad Boys 2
Marianne is half of a married writing team with Cormac Wibberley. They both grew up in Southern California and attended the University of California, Los Angeles.
After graduation, Marianne went on to receive her MFA in screenwriting from the UCLA Graduate School of Theater, Film and Television.
In 1993, the Wibberleys sold their first spec script to Disney, although it was never produced. The 6th Day, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, was their first major motion picture. Their credits also include I Spy, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, Bad Boys II, The Shaggy Dog, G-Force, National Treasure, National Treasure: Book of Secrets and the short-lived USA Network television series Common Law.
The Wibberleys are currently developing Black Samurai with Jerry Bruckheimer TV and RZA (Wu-Tang Clan) producing as well as writing feature films for Sony and STX Entertainment.
The Wibberleys sometimes teach screenwriting at UCLA’s Graduate School of Theater, Film and Television where they were the 2014 recipients of the Hunter/Zakin Chair Holder Screenwriting Award.
