Wes’s script Ascension won the AMC 1-Hour Drama Pilot award in 2014. Soon after, he signed with UTA and LBI Entertainment and attached an Oscar-winning producer to Ascension. Since then, he has written for a number of shows for AMC and Sony.

Wes was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, and spent a couple of years as an antitrust attorney in Washington, D.C., before deciding to write.
